Few people know that my whole design career started as a post production animation designer. That career morphed when the iPhone debuted with slick, connected UIs. I found myself years later as a pretty accomplished mobile UI designer.
Picking up After Effects and focusing on animation was a delightful blast from the past. We had complicated, multi-stage animations, however, so a looping animated gif was not going to work.
Introducing (new to me) Lottiefiles.
Lottie is an iOS, Android, and React Native library that renders After Effects animations in real time, allowing apps to use animations as easily as they use static images.New project started with week that required animation.
